Batches that work like your real classes
A batch is where the timetable, the teacher and the students meet. GIMS treats it as a real class with limited seats — not just a label on a student record.
How it works

Set up your courses
Each course has its fee, billing (one-time or monthly), registration fee and duration. Call them courses, classes, programs or subjects — whatever your institute says.

Create a batch
Choose the teacher, timing, offline or online, start date, duration and number of seats. A batch can teach one course, or be mixed with each student on their own course.

Allot students
Add students and see how many seats are left. When the batch is full, GIMS stops further allotments.

Move, complete or pause
Transfer a student to another batch, or mark them completed, left or on hold. Their history stays exactly as it was.

Seat limits that hold
Capacity is checked as each student is added, even when two people allot at the same moment.
Single or mixed batches
One course per batch, or a shared class slot where every student follows their own course.
Transfers keep the history
The admission date and fee plan carry over to the new batch, so fees and reports stay correct.
Teachers see their own
A teacher works with the batches assigned to them; the admin sees the whole institute.
Protected from accidents
A batch or course with students’ history can’t be deleted, so no record ever points at nothing.
Linked to Grawity Classroom
Students see their own batch’s progress in Classroom, and the batch teacher ticks off each lesson taught.
What happens to fees when a student changes batch?
Nothing changes. The transfer keeps the original admission date and the same fee plan, and the earlier batch stays in their history.
Can a full batch take one more student?
Not by allotment — raise the batch’s capacity first. Capacity can’t be set below the number of students already in the batch.
What does "mixed batch" mean?
A shared class slot — say, the 5 PM lab — where each student studies their own course. The course is picked per student at admission.
